Review Process

Here at The Dogs List, we have developed our own unique review system to help you make the best decision when buying pet products online. For each product we review, we aim to give you as much information as possible, with additional graphic elements for easier reading.

Our Process For Reviews

  • In-depth research – we asses all products in a category and only include the ones we feel would be best for you.
  • Detailed customer insight – we review what other customers have said about the product so that you get a more diverse opinion.
  • Other comments around the web – we see what other websites and review pages are saying about the product.
  • Social Media feedback – we check the most popular social media channels to see what real people are saying.

This is how we can form a unique, valuable perspective about each product for you.

What Criteria Do We use For Ratings?

  • Value – this is our perceived value to you, the customer. Does the price accurately reflect the value of the product?
  • Quality – how well has the product been manufactured? Does it seem cheap or premium.
  • Durability – will the product last a long time, i.e. how quickly will it be destroyed?
  • Fun Factor – how fun is it? We look at things like how easy it is to play with the toy, and if there are features that make it more stimulating for your pup.
  • Bonus Benefits – does the toy help your dog’s health, for example?

Are Review Sites Like This One Trustworthy?

It can be troublesome trying to find real reviews online. To put your mind at ease, these are the things to look for on a legitimate review website:

  • An About Page – you should be able to see who runs the website.
  • A Contact Page – you should be able to get in touch with them directly.
  • Privacy Policy – you should know if any data is being collected, and how it’s used.
  • Proper Disclosure of Income – you can see our disclosure in the footer of this website.
  • A Real Author – there should be an author at the bottom of every review/article.
  • Comprehensive Review Criteria – like what we have on this page.
